Throughout my career in teaching I came to know that students are speaking English at school and class but when they come to home they start speaking mother tongue. If that students want to grow English for that he/she consistently need someone to speak or he must develop a habit of speaking English whenever he/she goes.
Reading is one of the best ways to speak but one should not read in mind but loudly. When a student read loudly then he/she gets the habit of speaking indirectly i.e. passive speaking. I have seen many examples of students who continuously reading books and newspapers loudly for 3 months have developed speaking skills. Their sound quality was also improved drastically.
Second thing is to engage yourself in an environment where only English speaking students gather. Most students somewhere don’t take it seriously for this but it is necessary. Every day you should search minimum 10 words and maximum 30 words. So your Vocabulary improves a lot. You have now technology and apps from where you can search words in just seconds. When you develop vocabulary you use it somewhere when you speak. Suddenly it sparks in your mind.
There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure.
